Join us for a day of painting in the colorful marshes, meadows and wetlands of Point Reyes National Seashore. In our morning studio session, we will explore the specific language of the watercolor medium including transparency, color intensity, temperature, shape and line, followed by a plein-air session outdoors to heighten our observations of landscape composition, color and light. Working in a small format, we will generate a series of paintings that capture the day. We will consider the ways color influences composition. There will be time for individual attention, group discussions, and sharing our work through-out the day.
Skill level: Beginning to advanced, some experience with watercolors helpful.
